On the morning of Monday, Sept. 19, the Brockville General Hospital alerted the public that face masks are once again required in some areas of the hospital.

“Due to the rise of respiratory illnesses, masks are required in patient care areas, including waiting rooms, patient rooms, and when receiving care,” reads a Facebook post.

It goes on to say that masks are optional in public spaces such as hallways, the cafeteria, and elevators.

“For some, wearing a mask still makes sense,” the post reads. “Everyone is free to wear masks in all hospital areas (including public spaces).”

Masks are available across all hospital sites.
