What’s open and closed in Brockville for Thanksgiving 2023

Thanksgiving weekend is upon us, meaning that Monday, Oct. 9 is a statutory holiday. Here’s a look at what’s open and closed in Brockville on that day.


RETAIL, RESTAURANTS, ETC

  • Walmart will be closed
  • Giant Tiger will be closed
  • Food Basics will be closed
  • Metro will be closed
  • Real Canadian Superstore will be closed on Monday, and open reduced hours (7 a.m. – 8 p.m.) on Sunday
  • Most Shoppers Drug Mart locations will be open throughout the weekend for regular hours, but some may vary. Click here to search store hours in Brockville
  • All LCBO locations will be closed and all Beer Store locations will be closed on Oct. 9. LCBOs will also be closed on Sunday, Oct. 8, however Beer Stores will be open on the Sunday
  • The Brockville Aquatarium will be open all weekend, including Monday, and will offer a special ‘turkey scavenger hunt’
  • The Brockville Railway Tunnel will be open all weekend, and closing for the season on Monday at 9 p.m.
  • Sunset Grill is open 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Monday
  • Freshii is open Monday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. but closed Sunday

MUNICIPAL SERVICES

  • Town hall will be closed
  • There will be no transit services on Monday. The regular schedule resumes the following day.
  • Waste and recycling collection gets pushed ahead to the following day of your regular collection for the week.
