On the afternoon of Dec. 5, the Brockville Police Service responded to a reported disturbance involving a 66-year-old man at Chuck’s Roadhouse; the call was prompted by difficulties arising between the individual and the establishment’s staff.

The situation escalated when the man expressed agitation during discussions concerning the unsettled bill accumulated by him and a female companion.

Upon arrival, officers engaged with the man and discovered that he was subject to legal conditions prohibiting contact with the aforementioned female. These conditions had been imposed due to safety concerns regarding her well-being. Consequently, the man was taken into custody on charges of violating two counts of undertaking non-compliance, in addition to allegations of fraud related to food and lodging expenses.

The suspect was detained pending a bail hearing to address the charges against him.
