Opening of new Kemptville location of LGL Health Unit continues to face delays

Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit’s forthcoming delivery site at the Kemptville Campus is facing ongoing delays in its renovation process, the health unit reports.

While the health unit has obtained approval for partial occupancy, restricting access solely to staff members, no specific date for the facility’s public opening has been determined.

Temporary arrangements for accessing public health services in Kemptville and the surrounding area are as follows:

Immunization Clinic: Clients are encouraged to use the online booking system or contact 1-800-660-5853 for appointments during the following schedule:

  • Thursday, January 11 – 8:30 am to 12 pm
  • Friday, January 19 – 8:30 am to 12 pm
  • Thursday, January 25 – 1 pm to 4:30 pm
  • Thursday, February 1 – 1 pm to 7 pm
  • Thursday, February 8 – 9 am to 12 pm
  • Friday, February 16 – 8:30 am to 1 pm
  • Thursday, February 22 – 1 pm to 4 pm

Sexual Health Clinic: Appointments can be arranged by calling 1-800-660-5853. Alternative locations for services can be found at the Sexual Health Clinic – Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit. Local pharmacies and clinics in nearby areas such as Brockville and Smiths Falls are also available options.

Infant Feeding Clinic: Scheduled every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon, clients can contact 1-800-660-5853 extension 2467 to arrange appointments for Infant Feeding services. The EarlyON Space is available as an alternative to in-home visits.

Preschool Speech and Language Services: Clients seeking these services can make appointments by contacting their Speech Language Pathologist, Communications Disorders Assistant, or by calling 1-888-503-8885. Virtual or alternative location appointments may be available for some clients. In-person visits in Kemptville will resume upon the announcement of the official opening date.
