The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is making the public aware that some property owners have received duplicate interim tax bills.

And TLTI has now issued a statement to the public regarding this issue.

“It has come to our attention that some property owners may receive duplicate interim tax bills due to a system error during processing and distribution,” the statement from TLTI reads.

“Please note that property owners are only responsible for paying the interim tax bill amount once, and no further payment is required. Rest assured; our team is actively working on resolving this issue to prevent any recurrence in the future.”

For people who have any questions or concerns, TLTI staff say to not hesitate to contact the township office at 613-659-2415 or the deputy treasurer at extension 216.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience as we work to rectify the situation,” township officials’ statement ends.
