How much did your Brockville city council members make in 2023?

At the Tuesday, March 26 meeting of Brockville City Council, council received a report outlining how much mayor and council members were paid for their roles in 2023, including their honorariums and expenses.

Mayor Matt Wren received an honorarium of $44,681, and expenses, including benefits, of $6,237, for a total of $50,919.

Councillors each receive an honorarium of $19,709, and $1,244 in benefits. Two councillors also received small amounts for community events and mileage. Here are the total amounts:

Councillors Mike Kalivas, Philip Deery, Jeff Earle, Jane Fullarton, Nathalie Lavergne and Cameron Wales each received a total of $20,953.

Councillor Louise Severson received $21,106.

Councillor Katherine Hobbs received $21,337.

In total, councillors were paid $219,120.
