Christmas has arrived early in Brockville, with the upcoming Netflix Christmas movie titled Love at Frost Sight is currently filming at locations around the city such as the Keystorm Pub.

Film and TV buffs may notice a few familiar faces on set while working as extras or even just hanging around the downtown core.

Popular Hallmark movie actress Lacey Chabert, most recognized for her iconic role of Gretchen in Mean Girls (2004), is playing the leading lady in Love at Frost Sight, according to backgroundwork.com. Alongside Chabert, Canadian actor Dustin Milligan has been cast in the lead male role. Locals may recognize Milligan from his time playing Ethan Ward on 90201 (2008) or more recently, from the character Ted Mullens on Schitt’s Creek (2015-2020).

Playing Sheriff Hunter in the movie is actor Craig Robinson. Robinson is most known for his comedic portrayal of Darryl Philbin on The Office (2005-2013), a fan favourite character for many viewers of the show. Robinson also starred in a recurring role on the beloved comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-2021).

According to backgroundwork.com, the booking website where locals were asked to register as extras, Chabert, Milligan, and Robinson, were all currently in Brockville filming this weekend. Robinson’s scheduled filming dates are listed as April 24, 25, 26, 27, and 30, as well as May 1, 3, and 4.

Lead actors Milligan and Chabert are scheduled for filming in Brockville from April 24 – May 7. They will then move on to Ottawa to film from May 8-18.

The Keystorm Pub owner Dan Thompson confirmed with Brockvilleist that filming will be wrapped by May 10, at which time the popular bar and restaurant will be reopening for business.

  • I am a proud Brockvillian. Born and raised. I am so proud of Brockville being part of a Hallmark movie. It is a great city with great people. I love what you have done to the centre court house. It is a Winter Wonderland. Beautiful.
