Two located deceased in collision near Frankville

OPP report that two people have died following a single motor vehicle collision south of Frankville.

“A car was found in the ditch just before 6 a.m. today on County Road 29 at Kitley-Elizabethtown Townline Road,” police say.

The occupants, a 62 year-old man from Frankville and a 30 year-old woman from Brockville, were found deceased upon police arrival. The collision is believed to have occurred several hours before it was discovered, as the vehicle’s engine was cold to the touch.

No witnesses have come forward at this time, and the cause of the collision is still undetermined. OPP Collision Reconstructionists and members of the Traffic Collision Investigation Team have concluded their on-site portion of the investigation and, as a result, the roadway has since reopened. The Office of the Chief Coroner and the Office of Forensic Pathology have begun their investigation.
