Stone Street South, Gananoque, to be closed until Sept. 6

The Town of Gananoque has announced that starting Thursday, Stone Street South will be closed until Sept. 6.

More specifically, the closure will affect Stone Street South at Arthur Street, Ash Alley and Manse Alley.

The closure is for the purpose of the town’s contractor to complete tie-ins for the Arthur Street reconstruction project.

Residents of Stone Street South will be able to get access to driveway entrances, town officials say.

As well, residents are being asked to follow detour signs in place, and no on-street parking will apply for stalls located on Stone Street South, as well as several parking stalls on Charles Street and South Street.

In addition to the Stone Street South closure, Stone Street North to King Street East will experience a traffic disruption over the night of Aug. 8 – 9. From about midnight until 6 a.m., the area will be closed for a manhole repair on Stone Street North. Please avoid area for the 6 hour duration of repair.
