Residents and tourists alike are invited to the Spencerville Business & Community Connection (SBCC) at the historic Spencerville Mill & Museum for an evening of celebrating and discovering local businesses, services, and products.

The event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m., showcasing the scenic Spencerville Mill at 11 Water Street, the last remaining mill on the South Nation River.

Attendees will enjoy a guided tour of the museum and a turbine demonstration while enjoying complimentary refreshments. While SBCC does have a membership program, the non-profit organization is encouraging anyone interested in learning more about Spencerville businesses and culture to attend.

SBCC Vice-Chair Holly Howard told Brockvilleist “This year, we have decided to change the formats of our meetings and these spotlight meetings have been a way to engage other businesses and the public.  It is a great way to showcase the work and workplaces of our community!”

On previous occasions, the SBCC has tried to host meetings at different unique locations around Spencerville to show what the town has to offer.

“This allows us to provide memorable experiences for our membership and the community,” Howard explained. “This time, the Mill will be offering a personalized tour of the facility and refreshments for those in attendance.”

Howard says she hopes those who attend the meeting will leave with a better knowledge of local business, the Spencerville Mill, and upcoming community events.
