HALLOWEEN IS A DRAG

Get ready for one of the biggest Halloween parties Merrickville has ever seen. The North Grenville Rainbow Youth Alliance (NGRYA), a 2SLGBTQIA+ youth program that creates safe spaces for local children, has been hard at work organizing its second annual Halloween fundraising event.

The 18+ event will be hosted by drag artists BJ Stroker and Phionna Kitty, and will feature 24 performances from eight professional drag artists.

NGRYA founder Mel Button told Brockvilleist, “The amount of love and support that gets exuded in the room during these events is phenomenal. Truly there is so much support and folks coming out and being their authentic selves without fear or bullying or harassment. This is what these events are about and truly brings us so much joy and excitement.”

To purchase tickets, please email NG.Rainbowyouth@gmail.com. Organizers noted that the event is currently at 75 per cent capacity and remaining tickets will go up in price at the door.
