Police in Brockville made an arrest today in connection with an investigation that began back in August.

On Oct. 9, the Brockville Police Service concluded a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) investigation with the arrest of a 23-year-old local male. The arrest stems from two CDSA search warrants that were executed in August, 2024, police explain in a media release.

“During the investigation, a substantial quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, buffing agent, and Canadian currency was seized,” the release says.

The suspect, who police did not name, is now facing three charges of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking relating to cocaine and methamphetamine.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, where he will answer to the charges.
