Five more Halloween-themed events happening in Leeds and Grenville this spooky season

It seems like there is no shortage of upcoming spooktacularly fun events this time of year in the Leeds and Grenville area. Brockvilleist already told you about six events happening in the area, and since learned about these five more.
AQUATARIUM SPOOKTACULAR
The Aquatarium at Tall Ship’s Landing (AQ) is getting in the Halloween spirit this year with a Spooktacular experience for all ages. Guests are invited to don their best costumes while exploring all the AQ exhibits, but this time there will be some Halloween-themed additions in store.
From Friday, Oct. 25th to Monday, Oct. 28, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., visitors will be able to partake in Halloween-themed treasure hunts and trick-or-treating around the AQ. Anyone dressed in costume can get $5 off of their ticket price.
FRIGHT NIGHT AT THE HAPPY LITTLE FARMSTEAD
The family-run Happy Little Farmstead may not be so “happy” for visitors in the next few weeks as Fright Night is officially underway for the second year in a row.
Located at 3481 Goodwin Road in Spencerville, this large farm offers the perfect location to host crafts and activities in the ‘boo barn’ and a night time corn maze with hidden horrors lurking around every corner.
The Farmstead is offering two different corn maze options to accommodate all guests. A kid-friendly maze will run between 6 and 7:30 p.m., and the more intense maze experience featuring jump scares will run between 7:30 and 9 p.m.
Owner Lea Ardley shared, “This year we’re stepping up the fear factor in the Night Maze with live scare actors for even more thrills and jump scares. We’re definitely most excited about that.”
“Fright Night” runs between Oct. 17 and 20 and 24-30 between 6 and 9 p.m. Don’t forget to show off your Halloween costume to receive an extra sweet treat. Tickets are $8 per person and free for children two and under. Book your spot today here.
HAUNTED BARN AND CORN MAZE AT C&M RANCH
On Oct. 25 and 26, the C&M Ranch in Athens is hosting its third annual Halloween celebration, including a corn maze, face painting, a photo booth, a food canteen, and even a chance to explore the haunted barn. The event is only $5 per visitor but extra donations can be made on-site towards the Athens Food Bank.
Co-owner Crystal Cordick shared, “We love seeing all the people and dressing up and scaring our guests in the Haunted Corn Maze and Haunted Barn. All the littles that come for our kids’ hour are so cute.”
The event will run both nights between 7 and 10 p.m. The C&M Ranch notes that it is better suited for young children during the ‘kid-friendly’ hour between 6 and 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased with cash at the door. Please note that food vendors and face painting will also be cash-only.
MOVIES AT THE BROCKVILLE ARTS CENTRE
Although not overtly Halloween movies, Beetlejuice and Rocky Horror Picture Show are two of the strangest and spookiest fan-favourite film classics of all time. Don’t miss your chance to re-experience the magic of these films on the big screen at the Crescent Arts Centre.
Beetlejuice will be screened on both Oct. 28 and 29, and the Rocky Horror Picture Show will be taking over on Oct. 30.
Tickets can be purchased online here.
KID’S HALLOWEEN PARTY
The Maitland Education Research Centre is hosting a free kid-friendly Halloween party on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. The event is aimed at children and will feature carnival games, Halloween crafts, a scavenger hunt, and more. Not to mention, this party will give your little one the perfect opportunity to show their costume to their peers. RSVP your family today here.
