Second-quarter casino cash-in for Gananoque, Leeds and Thousand Islands

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has made a second-quarter payment of $274,570 each to the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands and Gananoque for hosting Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands.
The second quarter is from July 1 to Sept. 30.
So far, during OLG’s fiscal year (April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025), TLTI and Gananoque have each received $528,473.
And since the gaming site opened in June 2002, TLTI and Gananoque have each received $33,176,420.
These payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site, OLG officials said.
“Land-based casinos serve as a source of good local jobs and generate important economic activity in municipalities that host gaming sites,” said Steve Clark, the MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.
“Proceeds from gaming received through the Municipality Contribution Agreement with OLG, in turn, help strengthen local infrastructure and support community programs.”
