Brockville police arrest youth after threats made toward students, staff at BCI

A youth was arrested last week in Brockville after threats were made toward students and staff at Brockville Collegiate Institute.

The Brockville Police Service says they became aware of the matter on Thursday, Oct. 31.

Inspector Darryl Boyd explained to Brockvilleist that the threats were made in person by a student about others in the school.

“This complaint was investigated and it was confirmed that threats of violence existed,” police say in a Nov. 4 media release.

“Through the cooperation of everyone involved, the youth was arrested and charged with three counts of uttering threats and held for a bail hearing.”
