Screenings of Brockville-filmed Hot Frosty to take place at Richard’s Coffee House

As part of their ‘Miracle on King Street’ event on Saturday, Nov.16, the Downtown Brockville Business Improvement Area (DBIA) will be screening the highly-anticipated Hot Frosty Netflix movie. These screenings are not only a celebration of the holiday season, but also a celebration of the city itself, as it was filmed right in the heart of Brockville earlier this year.
The movie will be available on Netflix on Nov. 13. In the effort of bringing people together, Richard’s Coffee House will be screening the film three separate times on Saturday Nov. 16: Once at 10 a.m., once at noon, and again at 2 p.m.
DBIA Events and Communication Coordinator Sophie Gartland-Davey told Brockvilleist, ”Richard’s came to us with the idea and offered their location as a venue, and we were super pleased to accept.”
She continued, “We’ll be offering free popcorn sponsored by Century 21 River’s Edge Itd, and movie themed BINGO cards to make the viewing a little more interactive. There will be no tickets needed, so viewers will be welcomed on a first come first served basis.”
Visitors can grab a seat and and watch the entire movie with friends and family, or they can come and go as they please. Richard’s coffeehouse will still be open and operating throughout the day.
