‘Expect heavy traffic congestion’ after vehicle fire on Highway 401 near 1000 Islands Parkway off-ramp

Both westbound lanes of Highway 401 east of the 1000 Islands Parkway off-ramp were closed earlier today (Wednesday, Nov. 13) for a single vehicle collision, Leeds OPP report over social media.

The collision involved a pick-up catching on fire, police say. Thankfully, injuries are confirmed to have been non-life-threatening.

Police say motorists should expect heavy traffic congestion in the area.
