Floating debris cleared; Gananoque marina construction continues

Floating debris has been cleared from Gananoque’s waterfront, town staff announced, as Gananoque Marina construction continues.

On Monday, pieces of the old docks from Gananoque’s marina construction broke free of the barricade that was set up at the construction site.

Officials say residents have nothing to worry about as the debris was retrieved from the water and the area is all clear.

Anyone who sees debris is asked to contact the Town of Gananoque.

Crews continue their work with the construction as the unveiling of the new docks at the Marina is expected in time for the 2025 tourism season.
