Collision in Brockville leads to impaired driving charge

A 54-year-old woman is facing an impaired driving charge following a collision in Brockville.
In a Dec. 3 media release, police say it happened on Nov. 30 at about 4:15 p.m., in the area of Central Avenue and Park Street. When speaking to the involved parties, police say the odour of alcohol was detected from one of the drivers.
A roadside breath sample was taken from the driver, which resulted in a fail. She was placed under arrest and taken to the Brockville Police Service for further testing. This testing confirmed she was driving while over the legal limit and impaired. As a result, her driver’s licence was suspended, vehicle impounded and charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg and careless driving. She was released with a future court date.
