Brockville police secure arrests of two wanted suspects in Quebec and Kingston

Two suspects who were wanted in Brockville were arrested in other jurisdictions and transported back to town on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

A 19-year-old Brockville male was arrested earlier this week in Quebec, after being sought for charges including assault with a weapon, failing to attend court and fingerprinting, and violating probation. He was arrested by the RCMP in Quebec, then transported to the Ontario border. From there, he was taken to Brockville, where he was held for a bail hearing. Police say charges originated from an incident in August, when the suspect allegedly assaulted his 20-year-old sister by throwing an object at her.

Also on Jan. 7, another suspect wanted in Brockville was located in Kingston and transported back to the Brockville Police Service. The 33-year-old male wanted for violating probation, as well failing to appear in court, with these offences dating to 2023. He was held for a bail hearing.
