Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville to host second annual Big Impact Charity Ball

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Leeds and Grenville will be hosting their second annual Big Impact Charity Ball on Jan. 25, to celebrate all those in the BBBS community who have contributed to the success of mentorship programs and their impact on local youth.

The crucial mentorship programs being highlighted and fundraised for during the Charity Ball are Big Brothers Mentoring, Big Sisters Mentoring, Big Fan and Their Opportunity.

Vanessa Martin, Community Engagement Specialist with the BBBS of Leeds and Grenville, told Brockvilleist “The Charity Ball not only serves as a fundraising event but also as a platform to celebrate nominated youth who have made a Big Impact in our community.”

As a component of the Charity Ball, The Big Impact Volunteer Award winners will be announced and honoured for their exemplary volunteer services with an award certificate during the event. The winners are nominated by groups or individuals in Leeds and Grenville and determined by a small group of community members. Nominations can be submitted online here.

Martin told Brockvilleist, “This event is a great way to recognize the meaningful work that is being done locally by youth and for youth. It’s an exciting way to bring community members together to celebrate volunteerism and the Big Impact that youth have in Leeds and Grenville.”
