Gananoque, TLTI get $211K in OLG payments

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has delivered a $211,286 third-quarter payment to both the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands and the Town of Gananoque for hosting Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands.

These funds, covering the period from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024, bring each community’s total for the fiscal year to $739,759 so far.

“OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement payments help pave the way for Leeds and the Thousand Islands and Gananoque to build critical infrastructure and fund important programs that make a real difference for residents,” said Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds–Grenville–Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.

Since the casino opened in June 2002, the communities have each received $33.39 million in non-tax gaming revenue.

Payments are calculated using a standardized formula based on gaming revenue and help fund critical infrastructure projects and local programs.
