Help Gananoque, Leeds and Thousand Islands firefighters support food bank this weekend

This weekend, local firefighters will be trading their hoses for helping hands as they collect food donations to support community food banks.
On Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon, the Leeds and the Thousand Islands Fire Service will be stationed at Lansdowne Freshmart, accepting non-perishable food items from residents looking to make a difference.
The following morning, on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to noon, the Gananoque Fire Service will continue the effort, gathering donations at Metro and No Frills.
Firefighters will be on-site at all locations, not only collecting much-needed supplies but also engaging with the communities they serve.
With local food banks facing increased demand, organizers are encouraging residents to step up and contribute whatever they can. Every can, box, and bag of food collected will go directly toward helping individuals and families in need.
