A set of four residential apartment buildings at 1-4 Balmoral Place in Brockville will officially be converted into condominiums, following final approval from city council at their regular meeting on Tuesday, April 8.

The project developer, represented by Jasdeep Dhillon of SIREG Management Inc., had been required to fulfill a series of conditions before final approval. These included offering existing tenants the first opportunity to purchase their units, providing inspection reports on the buildings’ condition, and assisting tenants with relocation costs if needed.

City staff confirmed at their April 8 meeting that all necessary conditions have been met for the conversion of the properties from rental apartments to condominiums, a process that began in July 2024 when council first endorsed the application.

A building condition assessment and reserve fund study completed by MTE Consultants Inc. confirmed that the structures meet provincial and municipal standards. Other requirements, such as updated site plans, structural and service drawings, and legal surveys, have been completed and submitted to the city.

With final approval now granted unanimously by council, units will gradually become available for purchase, with the developer required to provide copies of inspection reports to prospective buyers prior to any sales agreements.
