Two people are facing multiple charges following a traffic stop in Brockville that led to the discovery of drugs, weapons, and cash.

Police say that on approximately 2:30 a.m. on May 12, police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Stewart Boulevard. The driver, a 31-year-old woman, and a 39-year-old male passenger were both identified during the stop. Officers observed open alcohol inside the vehicle, which led to a further search.

As a result of the search, police seized suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and crack cocaine, along with three pellet pistols, over $700 in cash, and drug paraphernalia including digital scales, according to a March 14 media release. Both individuals were arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
