Another construction project will be starting in Brockville at the end of the month.

The city says in a Tuesday, June 10 media release that IP Paving Inc. has been contracted by the Engineering Division to carry out the roadway rehabilitation of Stewart Boulevard from Centennial Road to Laurier Boulevard. This project includes Cold in Place recycling of the existing asphalt road base as well as a new surface layer of asphalt. Hot mix paving will take place in early July, and roadway shouldering and driveway/intersection completions by mid July.

While preliminary work for this project has already begun the bulk of the work is set to begin on June 23.

GIP Paving Inc. plans to do most of the work on this project at night to mitigate traffic impacts. During this time, one lane will remain open and a pilot vehicle will be used to keep traffic flowing in both directions on Stewart Boulevard.
