Brockville to host 2025 little league minor provincial championships
It’s time to batter up because Brockville has officially been selected to host the 2025 Little League Minor Provincial Championships, bringing the best of Ontario’s young baseball talent to the city next summer.
The five-day tournament will take place from July 25 to 30, 2025, at Brackenreid Park on North Augusta Road. The tournament will showcase top-tier minor league teams from across the province stepping up to the plate, all vying for the coveted championship title.
Brockville last hosted the Minor Provincial Championships in 2015, and organizers are thrilled and eager to shine a spotlight once again on their city’s local passion for baseball and the talent of local youth.
“The players are excited! Hosting the provincial championships is a big deal, and our athletes are proud to represent their hometown on their own field,” said the Brockville Little League Board of Directors in a statement to Brockvilleist.
“For the athletes, this tournament is a chance to compete at a high level, build confidence, and make lasting memories. It also teaches them about sportsmanship, teamwork, and representing their community with pride.”
Little league volunteers have been hard at work preparing to make this a memorable event for everyone involved. The Board told Brockvilleist, “From field improvements to community partnerships and logistics planning, there’s a huge team effort happening behind the scenes.”
To help make the event even more successful, organizers are encouraging local businesses to take advantage of sponsorship opportunities. Sponsors will receive a variety of promotional perks and can choose from various levels, which range from Bronze ($250) to Platinum ($1,000), offering something for every budget.
“For Brockville, the tournament is a chance to showcase our wonderful community. With families visiting from across Ontario, it provides a boost to local businesses and highlights everything our city has to offer,” said the Board.
