Seniors across Leeds and Grenville will soon have access to information, resources and community services all under one roof as local government representatives prepare to host the region’s first-ever Seniors Expo in June, which happens to be Seniors Month.

Hosted by Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, and Michael Barrett, MP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands-Rideau Lakes, the free event will take place on June, 9 2026 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New Hope Church.

According to a release issued on Tuesday, May 27, the event is aimed at connecting older adults, caregivers and families in the community with local organizations, government services and programs that support seniors’ health, independence and quality of life.

In their joint release, MPP Clark shared the expo was created in response to a growing interest from seniors looking for easier access to community supports and information that can be access in one centralized location.

“Our seniors built the communities we enjoy today, and they deserve to have easy access to the services and supports available to them,” Clark stated.

Attendees can explore exhibitors from a wide range of sectors, including health care, recreation, housing, transportation, financial services, home care and seniors’ advocacy organizations. They will have the opportunity to speak directly with service providers and learn about available programming and information tailored to seniors living in Leeds and Grenville.

Some of the local organizations and programs represented at the event will be the Leeds Grenville Paramedic Service, Brockville General Hospital’s Hospital-To-Home Program, YMCA of Eastern Ontario, the OPP on fraud prevention, among others.

“This event is about bringing people together, sharing valuable information, and helping seniors and their families navigate the many programs and services available to them,” Clark added.

The expo is free to attend and open to all residents throughout Leeds and Grenville and surrounding communities.
