One of Brockville’s most anticipated summer events is returning this August with a new community focus on supporting local youth. The 24th Annual Brockville Ribfest will take place from Aug. 7 – 9, 2026 at Hardy Park, bringing three days of award-winning barbecue, live entertainment and family-friendly activities while raising funds for local programming through BGC South East for the first time.

For nearly a quarter century, Brockville Ribfest has drawn thousands of residents and visitors to the city’s waterfront, becoming a staple tourism event of the summer season. However, this year’s event marks a new chapter for the festival as proceeds will support prevention-based programs and services for children and youth across Leeds and Grenville, according to a release from BGC South East.

Festival-goers can expect a full weekend of outdoor entertainment and activities, including six professional ribbers, a variety of food vendors and local food trucks, live music, a large KidsZone space and more than 40 vendors and artisans selling goods in the Vendor Village.

“Brockville Ribfest has always been about celebrating community, tradition, and summer in our region,” said Bev Heuving, Director of Programs and Evaluation at BGC South East. “This year, we are especially proud to have the event support BGC South East and the new programs in STEM and mentorship they are bringing to children and youth in Leeds & Grenville.”

Organizers say the partnership will help ensure local young people continue to have access to programs that foster growth, learning and connection. Funds raised through the festival will support initiatives including STEM and robotics programming, mentoring opportunities, after-school activities and other essential youth services.

According to event organizers, returning attractions include the Hyundai Volleyball Tournament, Cops and Kids Fishing Derby, Rock School, Ribfest Idol, an arm-wrestling tournament, inflatables, pony rides, a petting zoo and face painting.

The event’s continued success relies on a network of organized and dedicated volunteers, sponsors, businesses and community partners. In their release, BGC South East acknowledged support from the City of Brockville, Experience Ontario and key local partners including The Butcher Shop, Brockville Hyundai, Kriska, Giant Tiger and Sleeman Breweries.

“Community support is what makes this event possible year after year,” Heuving said. “Together, we’re not only continuing a 24-year tradition — we’re also helping build stronger futures for local youth.”

The 24th Annual Brockville Ribfest will be held at Hardy Park from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9.
