The Kingston Post Office and processing facility at 120 Clarence Street is closed today, Friday, Jun. 26, 2026, as building operation maintenance takes place.

According to a release from Canada Post, issued on Friday, Jun. 26, 2026, a sign has been posted on the post office door advising customers of the closure.

“We plan on resuming all postal services and mail delivery at the Clarence Street facility on Monday once the maintenance work is completed,” Canada Post stated. The postal organization did not share details on what maintenance is taking place at the facility.

With the downtown facility closed, retail services will not be available at this location, according to the release. Canada Post detailed that mail delivery and customer pickups are also on hold for Kingston addresses and the communities served by this facility:

“Customers can continue to access postal services at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 136 Princess Street, less than 250 metres away. The post office is open Friday from 8 am to 9 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from noon to 4 pm,” the federal postal service advised in the release.
