Brockville police bring back free family movie nights this summer

Families looking for a fun and affordable way to enjoy a summer evening will have two opportunities to attend free movies under the stars as the Brockville Police Service’s annual Movies in the Park series returns.

The popular community event will transform the entrance of the historic Brockville Railway Tunnel into an outdoor movie theatre, inviting residents to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and cozy up for a night of entertainment in one of the city’s most iconic locations.

According to Brockville Tourism, the first screening, playing ‘Super Mario Galaxy’, will take place later this month on Wednesday, July 23, 2026, while the second movie night is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13, when ‘Zootopia 2’ is set to hit the big screen.

In addition to the movies, Brockville police will be onsite to serve free popcorn, candy and drinks from its canteen, offering families the chance to enjoy a casual community event while connecting with neighbours and local police officers.

Both films will begin at dusk and admission is free for all residents.
