Brockville’s annual road rehabilitation program set to begin this week

City of Brockville

Brockville’s annual road rehabilitation program is set to get underway this week, with work planned on various streets across the city.

According to a release issued by the City of Brockville, the program will begin today, Monday, August 10, 2026, and is expected to wrap up by Sep.18, with G. Tackaberry & Sons Construction Co. Ltd. carrying out the work under the supervision of the City’s Engineering Division.

The project will involve removing the top 40 millimetres, or about 1½ inches, of existing asphalt through a process known as cold milling. Crews will then replace the surface with new hot-mix asphalt in the weeks that follow, according to city officials.

Throughout the process, residents and motorists should expect temporary traffic disruptions while the work is underway, including lane restrictions, delays, construction noise and equipment in active work areas.

The city is asking residents for patience, noting that crews will make an effort to minimize disruptions and maintain public access wherever possible.

Updates on the work schedule, affected streets and traffic impacts will be provided by the city as the project progresses.
