Brockville police are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that left a 29-year-old woman with significant injuries earlier this week.

In a release issued on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, Brockville police say officers were called to the area of Front Avenue West at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug.18, after receiving reports that a vehicle had collided with a parked vehicle.

A woman, who was identified as the driver and sole occupant of the moving vehicle, was transported to Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) for treatment. The woman is reportedly suffering from serious injuries, though she is in stable condition.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

Police say officers observed alcohol inside the vehicle during their investigation and witnesses reported that the vehicle had been travelling at a high rate of speed before the collision, with estimates placing its speed at more than double the posted limit.

Both vehicles affected by the collision were removed from the area and stored for further examination.

The investigation remains ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
