Fatal single-vehicle collision on County Road 43, North Grenville

A 44-year-old Ottawa driver has died following a single-vehicle collision in North Grenville Thursday evening.

Grenville OPP report on Friday, Sept. 18 that their officers, along with North Grenville firefighters and paramedics, responded to the collision on County Road 43 near Burritts Rapids Road shortly before 7:45 p.m. on Sept. 17.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.

County Road 43 was closed in both directions between Burritts Rapids Road and County Road 25 for several hours while investigators were at the scene.

The road has since reopened.

OPP say they continue to investigate with assistance from the the force’s East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team.
