The proclamation, brought forward in advance of the annual Brockville Butterfly Run, calls on the City of Brockville to recognize those affected by infertility, pregnancy loss, infant loss, and child loss.
The Brockville Butterfly Run is a local grassroots initiative aimed at creating community, building awareness and raising funds for programs supporting people who have experienced loss.

The funds were raised during last year’s Brockville Butterfly Run, held Oct. 5, 2025 at Blockhouse Island, which saw 119 participants come out and support the cause. Lesley Patry told Brockvilleist that they hope to raise between $10,000-$15,000 this year.
