Who’s running for mayor and council in Gananoque’s 2026 municipal election? Here’s what you need to know
Municipal elections will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, in communities across Ontario, including Gananoque.
At the Friday, Aug. 21, 2 p.m. nomination deadline, 13 candidates had put their names forward for mayor and council. Four candidates are competing for the mayor’s seat: Colin Brown, Ted Lojko, Clifford Feltham and John Beddows. Full profiles mayoral candidates will be added as they become available.
Another nine candidates are seeking six councillor-at-large positions. Gananoque elects its councillors at large, meaning voters across the town choose from the same list of council candidates. Brockvilleist has sent the same five questions to each council candidate, which will be linked here in the order we receive answers.
When available, links to candidates’ campaign websites and social media pages have also been included.
