Brockville’s Senior Support Services unveils new walk-in freezer, boosting Meals on Wheels program

Senior Support Services (CPHC) in Brockville, Ontario is excited to announce the grand opening of its brand-new walk-in freezer, a significant addition to their facility made possible by the generous funding of the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).
To celebrate this development, the organization is hosting an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, March 21, at 1 p.m., at 2235 Parkedale Ave.
According to CPHC, the new freezer is a crucial enhancement for Senior Support Services’ Meals on Wheels program, which provides nutritious meals to seniors in the community. By expanding storage capacity, the organization can now better meet the growing demand and ensure food security for vulnerable residents.
CPHC Community Relations Manager Sarah Dodgson stated, “This new addition will significantly enhance our capacity to support the seniors in our community through our Meals on Wheels program and we are looking forward to sharing this accomplishment.”
The event will be attended by MPP Steve Clark as well as an OTF representative, both of whom will speak on the impact of the grant within the Brockville community. Additionally, Crystal Sled, Meals on Wheels manager at Senior Support Services, will speak on how this investment will strengthen their organization’s reach moving into the future.
