Road closures and traffic delays, week ending Nov. 1, 2026

Motorists across Brockville, Gananoque and Leeds and Grenville can expect another week of construction and traffic delays, including several ongoing projects on Highways 401, 416 and 15.
On Highway 401 between Escott-Rockport Road and the Thousand Islands Parkway, the eastbound right lane is scheduled to close from 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, until 6 a.m. Monday.
In Brockville, nightly construction continues on Highway 401 between Stewart Boulevard and North Augusta Road. Drivers may encounter single-lane closures in both directions, with delays of up to 10 minutes possible. On- and off-ramps at the two interchanges may also close as required, although at least one interchange will remain accessible. Another overnight construction period is scheduled from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, until 8 a.m. Saturday.
Farther east, nightly lane closures continue on Highway 401 between Maitland Road and Edward Street in Prescott. Both directions may be affected between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. through Friday, Oct. 30, with some ramp restrictions also possible at Maitland Road and Edward Street.
On Highway 416 near Kemptville, drivers may encounter daily and nighttime single-lane or ramp closures around County Road 21 and between the County Road 44 and County Road 43 interchanges. Delays of up to five minutes are possible.
On Highway 15 near Lombardy, daytime construction continues between Frayn Road and Rideau Ferry Road. The northbound right lane is scheduled to be closed during the work through Friday, Oct. 30.
In Brockville, Bartholomew Street remains fully closed between King Street East and James Street East for reconstruction. The City expects the project to be completed by the end of October, weather permitting.
In Gananoque, concrete work continues along King Street East through Oct. 31, with sidewalk closures in place around active work areas. The Town is also completing the final stages of its recent road treatment between Charles Street and Carmichael Drive, including sweeping and line painting.
County Road 21 remains under rehabilitation between Roebuck and Spencerville. Drivers may encounter single-lane closures, flagging and increased construction traffic as work continues into November.
Rehabilitation also continues on County Road 2 along the approximately 4.2-kilometre section between the Kingston and Gananoque municipal boundaries. Single-lane closures and traffic disruptions remain possible through the end of October.
